Dogmatic Opinion
The BOTTO sound reminds me of BOTTON BENJO, an old-style pit toilet, so the first thing BOTTO-RI makes me imagine is a large lump of feces dropping.
Paint or ink is not objectively heavy, of course, but I can imagine an artistic technique in which a thick blob is allowed to drop BOTTO-RI.
The important image is one cohesive thing falling with visible substance and weight.
