Describes many things arranged, written, growing, or packed so densely that almost no gaps remain.

・I can’t bring myself to touch insects that are completely covered in dense hair.

Dogmatic Opinion
BISSHI-RI suggests many similarly sized elements distributed at high density, often across a surface. Hair lies across the surface of skin; writing covers the surface of paper. Even the expression “予定がびっしり詰まっている” (“the schedule is packed”) can evoke a calendar page with entries filling nearly every available space.
This is one difference from GISSHi-RI and GICCHI-RI, which can more readily suggest depth or three-dimensional packing. BISSHI-RI is especially well suited to the image of a surface being covered almost completely.

The best choice depends on what is dense: writing can cover a page, hair can densely cover a surface, and a schedule can be packed. BISSHI-RI is close to GISSHI-RI, but BISSHI-RI often gives a stronger “across the whole surface” impression.
