NECCHO-RI ねっちょり
Meanings
Describes something as viscous and sticky, or as coated in a wet, slimy, sticky substance.
Examples
My child threw a gooey, sticky slime toy at me.
こどもが、ねっちょりとしたスライムのおもちゃを投げつけてきた。
Dogmatic Opinion
There is viscosity here, but I also imagine a fair amount of moisture.
That combination is what separates NECCHO-RI in my mind from a merely thick or dry kind of stickiness: it is wet enough to feel gooey or slimy as well as adhesive.
