Meanings
A soft sound of a rope, string, or other thick material being severed by a strong force. Also, its appearance.
Examples
・While climbing a mountain, I grabbed the rope and it was torn off.
登山中に、ロープを掴んだらぶっつり切れてしまった。
・As I was being cursed at, something snapped inside me, and I was on the verge of committing a murderous act.
罵声を浴びているうちに、私の中で何かがぶっつり切れてしまい、凶行に及んでしまった。
Dogmatic Opinion
While “Puttsuri” can cut thin objects such as threads, “Buttsuri” can cut thick objects such as ropes.
Therefore, something like patience is more appropriate for “Buttsuri” than “Puttsuri”.
