Meanings

Examples

立てかけてあった卓上カレンダーがぱったり倒れた。
② It had been raining heavily earlier, but the rain and wind had stopped suddenly.
さっきまでの大雨が嘘のように、ぱったりと雨と風が止んだ。
② After 2:00 p.m., the customers stopped coming.
Dogmatic Opinion
The image of sudden termination and subsequent silence.
Suddenly the rain, wind, and customers’ voices disappear, and you feel a sense of tranquility.
Not a lot of grief.
Sudden loss of contact with someone.
“I lost contact “Puttsuri” with my son.”
It can also be expressed as,
“I lost “Patter” contact with my son.”
“Puttsuri” is sadly unable to locate his son and is unable to contact him from here.
“Patter”is, my son used to call me every day, but once he got a girlfriend, he stopped calling us(parents’ house).
He doesn’t seem to be missing.
